No Sweat!
You may have noticed the big summer sporting celebration in Stratford and various other locations across the South-East and the rest of the country. And GB's competitors were actually extremely successful too, making us very proud.
What may have passed you by though, was the controversy surrounding some of the kit that the big sponsors provided and the poor working conditions - highlighted by charity War On Want - of those hard-working people that produced it.
So how do you make sure that the only person sweating over your sports kit is you as you strive for a new personal best?
There are a number of certifications to look for and the details can be found on our ethics page.
We wouldn't want you running for a children's charity in a vest that was produced in a factory that uses child labour. And we're pretty sure you wouldn't want to either.

Ethical Sportswear
So what does that mean, exactly?
Well, in short, it depends. Unfortunately, the word 'ethical' is widely used by some without any thought as to why, or what it refers to. Others may think (and have indeed told us) that all clothing is unethical because it uses up scarce resources.
To us, ethical sportswear has been produced by people that are not being forced to do it, people that are receiving a fair wage for a fair week's work in decent working conditions.
We do get asked for organic sportswear from time to time too. As those of you that take part in sporting activities will know, sportswear is usually polyester, often with a bit of elastane thrown in for some flexibility when stretching. However, polyester simply can't be certified as organic because it's just not a natural fibre.
Please call us on 020 8398 2847 with any questions about our sportswear range.
